Indemnity Form re tax liabilities
The previous form has now been withdrawn. HQ are recommending that clubs include the following sentence on any letter or form booking a speaker/demonstrator
"The presenter is responsible for all Tax and National Insurance payments incurred as a result of this booking"
This removes the need to get the demonstrator/speaker/teacher/judge to sign anything.
To Snap or not to Snap?
This article explains the thinking behind the media consent form and whether a demonstrator wishes their work to be photographed. Click here to read.
Do you compete?
The new NAFAS Competition Manual is published and available from Area trading. Our Judges Representative has written an informative article which explains some of the changes. To read click on this link.
Tax Liabilities
There is a slight chance that HMRC could come onto clubs for unpaid income tax liabilities on the fee portion of presenters Blue Form expenses. Any presenter who is receiving substantial financial reward should be filling in a tax return. In order to cover their backs clubs should now attached this form, as sent from H.Q to the blue form. This should be filled in by the presenter and returned to the club or area making the booking with part B. To obtain the form click link
Benefits of NAFAS membership
An open letter has been released by the National Chairman regarding membership of Nafas. A copy of this letter has been handed out to each Club and an electronic copy attached to Council minutes sent to each Chairman. Further copies they can be downloaded here.
